(March 12-15)

• Firefighters responded to seven calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on South Jackson Street. The occupants told them they had no idea the alarm went off until fire personnel arrived. After investigation, it was determined to be a problem with the alarm system. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Bozeman Circle, along with Sumter County Fire & Rescue. They found heavy smoke generated from burning food on the stove.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Mayo Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Destiny Fitness, 103 Prince St. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire on Tulip Drive. Upon arrival, they were told by Sumter County Fire & Rescue that their assistance was not needed.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Bumphead Road.
• Firefighters were dispatched to Rees Street to a traffic accident. Gold Star EMS advised they were not needed.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Hosanna Circle.
• Firefighters responded to a trash fire on Lakeshore Drive. They found a large pile of tree limbs and stumps burning next to the roadway. They extinguished it.
• Firefighters were dispatched to Federal Building, 128 E. Forsyth St., to a report of someone trapped in an elevator. The call was cancelled while they were en route.
• Firefighters were dispatched to Pecan Terrace as mutual aid to Sumter County Fire & Rescue. They were advised they could cancel their response.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Lynnview Drive. It was activated by a pot left on the stove.
