City of Ellaville reports electric issues, special events
Lynne McChargue, Ellaville’s city manager, reports that the electrical work at TCI is completed.
The city issued permits for special events, including Springtime Ellaville May 4, and permits for Ellaville United Methodist Church’s Sunrise Service from 6-9 a.m. on Easter Sunday in the City Park, downtown Ellaville. A permit was issued to a homeowner who has just recently installed a solar electrical system and requested the city install a bi-directional meter. The city will have a licensed electrician to inspect the installation prior to issuing a permit.

Ellaville Methodist, Baptist churches hold Sunrise Services
Ellaville United Methodist Church and Ellaville Baptist Church held the annual Sunrise Service at 7 a.m. Easter Sunday in the Ellaville City Park. This was the first time in years that they held the service in the park.
After the Sunrise Service, everyone was invited to attend Sunrise Breakfast at Ellaville Baptist Church. Each year these churches rotate being host for the breakfast.

Schley County Rabies Clinic to be held
LeAnna Wilder, DVM, and the Schley County 4-H Club host the annual Schley County Rabies Clinic from 8 a.m.-noon May 11 in front of the old Planters Hardware Building. For everyone’s convenience this will be drive thru clinic.
The Schley County 4-H’ers will assist with your paperwork and the veterinarian will come to your vehicle to administer the rabies vaccine to your pets.
The cost of the rabies shots is $10 per animal. Flea and tick medications will also be available for purchase.
