Funeral services for Mrs. Avelene Schultz Haislip will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2019, in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Glover officiating. Interment will be in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour at Williams Funeral Home.

Mrs. Dolly Avelene Schultz Haislip, age 90, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2019.

Mrs. Haislip was the widow of the late Earnest Lawrence Haislip and was predeceased by her parents Frederick and Bessie Mae Dunham Schultz and her son Ernie Haislip.

Mrs. Haislip was a native of Leon, W. Va. Mr. and Mrs. Haislip lived over the world as he was retired from the military. They had made their home in Louisville, Ga., for 19 years before moving to Milledgeville in 1979. She had worked at McGaw Laboratories. Mrs. Haislip was a volunteer with the Pink Ladies at Oconee Regional Medical Center for many years and served as a volunteer at Georgia War Veterans Home and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include her daughter, Vicki Herrington of Americus; grandchildren, Miranda (Angel) Nunez of Warner Robins, Ga., Monica Hyatt of Orlando, Fla., Rob Herrington of Evans, and Serena Haislip of Lodi, Calif; and great-grandchildren, Logan Nick, Isabella, Sam, Jack, and Dillon.
