The 2019-2020 Southland Academy Varsity Cheerleaders selected

AMERICUS — Southland Academy Varsity Cheerleaders for the upcoming school year have been selected. The girls, coached by Susan Welch, were chosen on their gymnastic, jumping, cheer, dance, and spirit skills.

The squad includes seven rising seniors: Ellie Barnes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Russ Barnes of Americus; Maddy Copeland, daughter of Melanie Copeland of Americus; Leslie Anne Farr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Farr of Americus; Emma Griffin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jayson Griffin of Americus; Sarah Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Murphy of Americus; Parker Reeves, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Reeves of Americus; and Halley Kate Turner, daughter of  Jill Turner and Brian Turner, both of Americus.

The squad includes one rising junior: Addison Starlin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ander Starlin of Americus.

The squad includes three rising sophomores: Lydia Anne Love, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Love of Americus; Abby Sellers, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Ken Sellers of Albany; and Averi Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Deke Smith of Americus.

The squad also includes five rising freshmen: Macie Deriso, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Deriso of Americus; Lily Haugabook, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Haugabook of Montezuma; Holladay Miles, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Will Miles of Albany; Eva Grace Studdard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Todd Studdard of Americus; and Tate Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ryan Young of Americus.
