MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Mrs. Patricia Ann Griffith, age 73, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Americus. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Aldridge Funeral Services with a Rosary from 5:30-6 p.m. Father Sam Aniekwe and Deacon Bernie Bosse will officiate. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Evergreen Cemetery in East Concord, N.Y.

Mrs. Griffith was born on June 24, 1945, in Kane, Pa. She was the daughter of Mary Weaver Millard and the late Loren Elroy Millard. Before retiring she worked as a registered nurse at Sumter Regional Hospital, director of nursing at Magnolia Manor, and taught nursing and health occupations at Americus High School. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where she was active in the Women’s Group, PRE instructor for St, Mary’s, and a volunteer health provider for migrant workers.

Survivors include her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Marshall Griffith of Americus; her mother Mary Weaver Millard; two sons Tracey Griffith (Alicia) of Collierville, Tenn., Sean Michael Griffith (Katie) of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a brother David Millard of Warren, Pa. Also, three grandchildren, Bryce Griffith, Jayce Griffith and Breck Griffith, and six grand fur babies, survive.

Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her father Loren Elroy Millard.
