Bobby Miller’s Memorial Fishing Rodeo held
The Ellaville Lions Club has hosted fishing rodeos every year at Bobby Miller’s pond for about 15 years.
This year, the Ellaville Lions Club renamed this special event, “Bobby Miller’s Memorial Fishing Rodeo.”
Bobby was a dedicated member of the Ellaville Lions Club, and had allowed the Lions Club to have their fishing rodeo for children at his pond.
His wife Helen and their family were here for this special event.
Throughout the morning, the children did well in catching strings of fish, big ones and little ones.
Chad Childs, president of the Lions Club, presented the awards to the winners.
This year’s winners” from the 3 to 7 age group, Jaycee Felker with a 3-lb. catfish; and 8-15 age group, Garrett Benford with a 6 lb. 3oz catfish.
