Jason Radner, regional manager for Flint Equipment Co. recently spoke with Brinson Brock regarding his Sumter County Middle School’s agricultural classes. He asked that Brock focus on having agricultural students be proficient in reading and comprehension, as his company has a wealth of opportunities. That’s all it took! FFA member, Melchisedec McCluster was one of the first students to complete a ‘scavenger hunt’ using the local newspaper. He identified job openings, sports news, classifieds, and news from our representatives at the general assembly in Atlanta. Here Melchisedec McCluster is shown reading the Americus Times-Recorder. He has recently qualified for Summer Leadership Camp at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley.
