Pamela Tyler of New Orleans, a retired history professor and Americus native, correctly identified the ‘Somewhere in time’ photo in Wednesday’s edition as the statue of the Confederate soldier situated at the intersection of Lamar and Lee streets. The statue now stands in Rees Park. The first person to correctly ID today’s photo will be acknowledged in the next edition. Hint: it’s a three-part answer.
