AMERICUS — The staff at Magnolia Manor recently launched a fundraiser called “Christmas in July.” They hope to provide gifts for each of their 1,300 residents across eight different locations in South Georgia. So far, they are making good progress. Led by the director of Annual Giving, Lauren Sapp, they have already collected 200 gifts. They encourage individuals in the community to participate and help them reach their goal.

We have many residents who will not receive a gift, or have family visit them, during the holidays. This is a way for us to show them that they are loved,” Lauren Sapp explained.

Last November was the first time Magnolia Manor implemented this fundraiser across the entire organization. Despite the late start, they were successful in getting each resident a gift.

We are so thankful for all of our supporters who made it possible to purchase all of the gifts last year. Seeing the smiles on their faces when they realized someone cared enough to give them a gift was priceless,” stated Sapp. “But this year, we wanted to start earlier before the hustle and bustle of the holiday season approaches.”

Donors have the option of making a monetary contribution, or purchasing the gift themselves. Donors can also choose to have the gift delivered to the campus of their choice. With your help, each resident will receive a gift this year.
