AMERICUS – The Georgia Southwestern State University Department of Athletics has announced that all kids in eighth grade and younger can register for free to join the Surge’s Squad Kids Club.

By joining the Surge’s Squad Kids Club, kids will get exclusive access and multiple benefits within GSW Athletics. Benefits include free admission to home games, a free kids club T-shirt, exclusive in-game opportunities and a premium giveaway item for every third game attended.

Kids who join the club will also be eligible for the opportunity to be the guest PA announcer at select home games and will get a chance to be the ball girl/boy at select home baseball games. Kids will also get a chance to line up and make the player tunnel before games and serve as the water kid for select home baseball games. Kids who join the club will get a chance to run the bases after select home baseball games and will be eligible for a Meet and Greet with student-athletes before select games.

T-shirts can be picked up at the Hurricanes Season Kickoff event in the Storm Dome on Tuesday, August 20, or at any GSW home game by visiting the Surge’s Squad Kids Club information table. Members will receive credit for their attendance by checking in at the information table as well. GSW Athletics reserves the right to cap membership at any point after 100 kids have joined the club.
