American majority v. NRA

Another mass shooting. What will it take for our elected officials to take meaningful actions to address this epidemic? According to an FBI Field Officer, on average a mass shooting (four or more victims) occurs in the United States every two weeks. Although a majority of Americans want reasonable gun controls, the National Rifle Association (NRA) has a powerful influence on the administration and Congress. The NRA, which was founded for the purpose of promoting gun Association (NRA) has a powerful influence on the administration safety, has now morphed into full time lobbyist for gun manufacturers. It has pushed out Oliver North as president, allowed itself to be infiltrated at the highest level by a female Russian operative, made questionable expenditures and appears to welcome conflict between religions, races and even nations if that will sell more guns. Congress should do what it can to improve mental health, background checks, etc., but if it is really serious it will do something about assault rifles and high capacity magazines. Let’s see who prevails, the American majority public or the NRA.
