AMERICUS — About 100 people took advantage of Phoebe Sumter Medical Center’s annual Men’s Health Fair held Saturday at the Student Success Center on the Georgia Southwestern State University campus. The theme was “Healthy Head to Toe!”

The event offered free health screenings, education booths, and door prizes. Speaker this year was Americus native, Dr. Jeremy Joyner, bariatric and general surgeon at Phoebe Sumter who spoke on the importance of colon cancer screenings.
The free health screenings included: prostate screening, blood pressure, diabetes and cholesterol.
