Hall cracks program top 10 at NCAA Regional

WINGATE, NC – Georgia Southwestern State University (GSW) freshman Catherine Hall posted the sixth fastest 6K time in GSW women’s cross country history on Saturday morning, November 9, to lead the Lady Hurricanes at the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional held a the Wingate University cross country facility in Wingate, NC.
GSW finished 23rd out of 26 teams in its season finale as Hall completed the course in 24:29 to take seventh place out of 181 competitors.
The next Lady Hurricane to cross the finish line was Quincy Meyer. Meyer finished the race in a time of 26:31, which was good enough for 120th place. Connie Lewis was the third GSW runner to cross. Lewis finished 150th in a time of 27:45. Retchiel Roble finished the race in a time of 28:42 and edged out teammate Madaline Toth (28:44). Alex Exum shaved 17 seconds off her last 6K time and posted a personal record with a 30:02 finish. Natalie Maralunda also turned in a strong performance for the Lady Hurricanes, finishing in a time of 32:42.
