PHENIX CITY, AL – After thoroughly dismantling Edgewood (AL) 40-10 in their first game of the 2019 Border Wars Tournament in Phenix City, AL, the Southland Academy Lady Raider basketball team (SA) found themselves in a much tougher test against Lee-Scott Academy (LSA) from Auburn, AL on Saturday, December 28. Unfortunately for the Lady Raiders (8-1), though they fought extremely hard all the way to the end, they suffered their first loss of the season, a 44-43 defeat at the hands of the Lady Warriors at the Glenwood School.
The Lady Raiders finish the Border Wars Tournament at 1-1, but his game proved to be an excellent test for SA as they go into region play in January.
