Funeral services for the late Mr. Andrew Pless, Sr. of Americus, Georgia who passed Monday, February 10, 2020 will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Jermaine Harris will officiate and burial will follow in the Staley Memorial Gardens. The remains will lie in repose at the church one hour prior to the services.

Mr. Andrew Pless, Sr. was born in Cusseta, Chattahoochee County, Georgia on June 29, 1920 to the parentage of the late Mr. George Pless, Sr. and the late Mrs. Annie Maude Covington Pless. He received his education in the Chattahoochee School System. He was employed for many years with Harvey’s Supermarket. He joined the Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church, where he served faithfully and was a Steward until his health failed. He was a lifetime member of the St. John Masonic Lodge #17. He was married to the late Mrs. T’Liller Jones Pless.

He leaves to cherish his memories: two son, Mr. Andrew Pless, Jr. and wife, Geneva Pless and Mr. Kelvin W. Pless and wife, Deborah Johnson-Pless: two daughters, Mrs. Annie Laura Munns and husband Jimmy Munnsand  Ms. Alvetta Pless-Butts; 39 grandchildren, 60 great granchildren, 30 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
