Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the memorial services for Mr. Robert S. “Bob” McKinnon, age 70, who passed away Sunday, March 1, 2020 at Serenity Place Hospice of Dublin. He was a longtime resident of Americus, where upon graduating high school attended the University of Georgia on a football scholarship playing for Coach Vince Dooley. Bob was a resident of Appling County since 1984, retired from Scott Bridge Company, was a former member of the Georgia National Guard and attended Zoar Missionary Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Kenneth W. and Lucile Wimberly McKinnon and a brother, Kenneth W. “Mick” McKinnon Jr.

Survivors include his two daughters, Clair and husband Ashley Atkins of Baxley and Maycile and husband Dalton McCall of Hahira; son, Joel McKinnon of Baxley; grandson, Jameson McCall of Hahira; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 12 P.M at the Zoar Missionary Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Williamson officiating

Interment will follow in the Zoar Cemetery at a later date.

The family will receive guests following the service during a reception in the Zoar Missionary Baptist Church Social Hall.

In lieu of flowers remembrances may be made to Serenity Place Hospice of Dublin, 504 Parker Dairy Road, Dublin, GA 31021.
