Victory Parade honoring ASHS Lady Panthers scheduled for March 16

- A victory parade to honor the Americus-Sumter Lady Panthers basketball team will be held in downtown Americus on Monday, March 16, at 7 p.m. This will be followed by a community celebration at the Americus-Sumter HS gymnasium. At the celebration, the Lady Panthers, along with the 29-1 ASHS boys' varsity team and the three SCPRD All-Star basketball teams, will be honored for their accomplishments this season. ATR Archive

AMERICUS – A victory parade to honor the GHSA Class AAAA state champion Americus-Sumter Lady Panthers is scheduled for Monday, March 16, at 7 p.m.
The parade route will go through downtown Americus.
Following the parade, a community celebration will be held at the Americus-Sumter High School South Campus gym (known as the Panther Den) to honor the three Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department (SCPRD) All-Star teams that recently won Georgia Recreation and Parks Association (GRPA) state championships in their respective age groups. The 29-1 Americus-Sumter HS boys’ varsity basketball team will also be honored at this celebration, as will, of course, the Americus-Sumter Lady Panthers for their 2020 state championship.
This is a free event and the community is encouraged to come and celebrate with these deserving teams and their coaches.
