AMERICUS – Southland Academy (SA) will be closed beginning on Monday, March 16 through spring break, which ends on Friday, April 3. This is according to SA Headmaster Ty Kinslow.

In addition to the school closure, the Georgia Independent School Association (GISA), of which Southland is a member, has postponed all interscholastic athletic activities through Friday, April 10.

All of this is being done in accordance with Georgia Governor Brian Kemp’s recommendation to avoid large event gatherings in the wake of the spread of the COVID 19 Corona Virus.
