Massenat Scores a Career High in Lady Hurricanes’ 72-52 Victory over Columbus State

AMERICUS – The GSW Lady Hurricanes got back in the win column by defeating Peach Belt Conference rival Columbus State 72-52 on Wednesday evening in the Storm Dome.

Four Lady Hurricanes scored career highs.  Leianya Massenat scored a career-high 13 points and hit six of her eight shot attempts. Ndidiamaka Ndukwe scored 12 points, as she connected on four of her seven shot attempts and collected six rebounds. Ndukwe has scored in double digits in four consecutive games. Jashanti Simmons scored 11 points. She was successful on four of her seven shots and she snagged seven boards and added an assist. Simmons leads the team with eight games scoring in double figures and has scored in double digits in six consecutive games. Lexi McCully also scored 11 points and connected on four of her eight shots and hauled in a career-high four rebounds.

The Lady Hurricanes (9-2, 2-1 PBC) will be on the road to take on PBC newcomer USC Beaufort (4-7, 0-3 PBC) at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
