Wendy Prince named CIS Instructor at SGTC Crisp County Center

AMERICUS – Wendy C. Prince of Leesburg was hired as the new full-time Computer Information Systems and Networking Instructor for the South Georgia Technical College Crisp County Center campus effective immediately, announced South Georgia Technical College President Dr. John Watford.  She will report to South Georgia Technical College Vice President of Academic Affairs Julie Partain and Assistant Vice President of Academic Affairs Michele McGowan.

Prince received a BS in Mathematics and concentration in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University.  She comes to SGTC with previous teaching experience as a part-time instructor for both East Central Technical College and Albany Technical College. She has Help Desk experience with Matrix and Database Administrator/Resources experience with TriMark Strategic Equipment.  She also owned her own website designer business, Prince Technical Solutions, for 15 years.

She has high level technical skills in web design, graphic design, database, networking, Microsoft office, adobe, report writing and accounting.

Prince is married to SGTC Chief Information Officer for Technology Gary Prince and the couple have three grown children, Matthew, Benjamin, and Anna.  She is a member of First Baptist Church of Leesburg.

In her capacity as the full-time Computer Information Specialist instructor on the Crisp County Center campus, Prince will be responsible for performing all teaching duties, demonstrating competencies, knowledge and skills in the Computer Information Systems program.  She will plan and organize instruction in ways that maximize student learning and promote program retention as well as be responsible for evaluation of student performance, progress, and procedural competencies.  She will contribute to the program and division curriculum development processes and recruit and market her program.
