John Edward Terry, 76, passed away on January 18, 2024 at his home in Leslie,
GA. He was born on January 4, 1948 to the late Jack Terry and Lois Arnott in
Americus. John enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, cooking, traveling, golfing, and
was a fan of college football, and Braves baseball as well as his retirement life-
especially caring for his lawn and land. He loved his grandkids and family deeply,
he will be missed by many.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Greg Hancock Funeral
Chapel from 12:30-2PM. The Funeral service will be held at Greg Hancock Funeral
Chapel Saturday, January 27, 2024 at 2pm with Reverend Michael Truitt, Patrick
Terry and James Terry officiating. Graveside service will follow at Oak Grove
Cemetery
Pallbearers include Chris Herrin, Thomas Sibley, Patrick Terry, James Terry, Bart
York, Bryce Collins & John Morris
Survivors include his wife, Clare Soileau; his sons John Patrick Terry, James
Clayton Terry (Cherie); his daughter Kimberly Elaine Herrin (Christopher); his
sister Nancy Beamon (Allen); his grandchildren Taylor Sibley (Thomas), Caleb
Terry, Liberty Terry, Hannah Beamon, Hollet Herrin; he is also survived by many
uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Jack Terry and Lois Arnott, his brother
Bruce Arnott
