Lady Panthers get trounced by Worth County

AMERICUS – The Sumter County varsity girls’ soccer team (SCHS) had a rough outing on Friday, as they fell to the Worth County Lady Rams by the score of 11-1.

WC freshman striker Brooklyn Youngblood scored seven goals and had one assist and senior forward Bralyn Griffis had two goals on the day. Senior forward Karley Barnes and freshman midfielder Isabel Hancock also had goals for the undefeated Lady Rams (8-0).

SCHS junior striker Victoria Aguirre scored the lone goal for the Lady Panthers.

SCHS will travel to Hazelhurst, GA on Tuesday to take on the Lady Yellowjackets of Jeff Davis. Kickoff is scheduled for 5 p.m.
