Schley County Middle School held their annual Spelling Bee sponsored by the Americus Kiwanis Club. Every sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade student participated in the first round of the Spelling Bee. The second round consisted of the top 3 winners in each grade. They were competing against each other to move on to the region competition held in Houston County.

Pictured are the top 12 students along with the Kiwanis Representatives Mr. Herschel Smith and Judge George Peagler. The students pictured are, Kaylee Weil, Migueal Jones, Riley Nunez, Jennie Le, Kaniya Howard, Lawrence Wainwright, Jermaine Williams, Jentrea Skipper, Olivia Tibbett, and Abby Harbort. The winner was Eli Parks and the runner up was Baylor Hughes. Schley County would like to send a very special thank you to all Kiwanis members that made this event special for our students.
