Mr. Charles Edward Lloyd, age 73 of Americus, passed away Thursday May 16, 2024.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2024 in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Rev. Mark Windham will officiate the service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Tuesday, May 21^st from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Aldridge Funeral & Cremations.

Charles Edward Lloyd was born June 16, 1950 in Americus. He was the son of the late Oscar Lamar “Buddy” Lloyd and the late Annie Beatrice Garrett Lloyd. He worked for Manhattan Shirt Company and retired from Magnolia Manor. He was a loving father, grandfather, and faithful husband of 54 for years to Effie Mae Hortman Lloyd who passed away on May 18^th just two days after his passing. He was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angie Lloyd Love (Jason) of Americus and his son and daughter-in-law, Gregory Charles Lloyd (Tiffany) of Ellaville. Mr. Lloyd is also survived by his grandchildren, Lydia Anne Love, Garrett Love, Oscar Lloyd, Patrick Urash, Dash Lloyd and a sister, Carolyn Dickerson Banks of Buena Vista, GA.

In addition to his parents Mr. Lloyd was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Lloyd.
