On May 28th at approximately 6:10 PM officers of the Americus Police Department were dispatched to 104 Hosanna Circle in Americus to a reported shooting. On arrival, officers made contact with a 16 year old male who had a single gunshot wound to the leg. The juvenile was transported to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center by EMS personnel for treatment.

Investigators have identified and arrested two suspects in this incident, Quentin Fletcher, age 18 of Americus and a 16 year old male juvenile, also of Americus. Both suspects are charged with Aggravated Assault and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony. The juvenile suspect is also charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Person under 18. Additional charges are pending.
