Trinity Poague indicted on six counts

Trinity Poague, former Georgia Southwestern student, has been indicted for malice murder, two counts of felony murder, two counts of aggravated battery, and one count of cruelty to children in the first degree in the death of a year-and-a-half-old child on Georgia Southwestern campus.
The GBI stated that: “On Sunday, January 14, 2024, at about 2:00 pm, the Georgia Southwestern State University Police Department asked the GBI to investigate the death of a child.”
The GBI also stated that the arrest came after an unresponsive child was taken to Phoebe Sumter Hospital in Americus and died despite the hospital staff’s efforts. The time of death was given as 4:28 p.m. on January 14th, 2024.
