It was a hard-fought battle between both the Kansas and LSU 8u boys basketball teams, but the Kansas team overwhelmed LSU early and often and cruised to a 27-7 victory in the 8u boys game of the Dwight Harris Boys Club Basketball League on Wednesday night at Ninth Grade Academy.

Kansas jumped out to a 12-1 lead early and continued to put the pressure on by forcing turnovers and turning them into points. Jeremiah Edge led the Kansas team in scoring with eight points. Landon Bateman had seven points and Tyler McGarrah chipped in six for Kansas in the winning cause.

Kimonie Floyd led the LSU team in scoring with four points.

The DBHC league will have games every day of the week all summer long through July, with a postseason tournament at the end of July. The age ranges are from children ages six years old up to adults age 28.
