Americus police officers responded to a welfare check on June 16th at around 9:52 A.M. in the 100 block of Apple Blossom Lane, discovering two deceased. The bodies of Clyde Neal Anthony, age 72, and a Connie C. Anthony, aged 68, were discovered with gun-shot wounds. After interviewing family and investigating the scene, investigators determined that Clyde Anthony shot Connie Anthony before taking his own life.
