AMERICUS – Georgia Southwestern baseball seniors, Daniel Perez and Devyn Newberry, presented Sumter County Parks and Recreation (SCPRD) director Tim Estes with a check on the afternoon of Dec. 10 for the Sumter County Parks and Recreation Department (SCPRD) Little League Baseball Scholarship Program.
The scholarship program helps assist families with little league registration fees so young kids can participate and play baseball.
For the seventh-consecutive year, the losing side of the GSW baseball Fall Classic Blue-White intrasquad series operates a charity car wash with all proceeds going towards the youth scholarships.
