For Sumter County Intermediate School (SCIS), the district spelling bee turned out to be very exciting. SCIS sent several representatives to the Bee, but never imagined they would some back with the ultimate prize. They first, second and third place spots all went to three of SCIS’s best spellers. The winners of the District Spelling Bee at Sumter County Schools are 1st Place: Lauren Key; 2nd Place: Curtissa Evans; and  3rd Place: Zy’kerria Dowdell.
