MOULTRIE, Ga. — Daniel Lee Ward, 78, of Moultrie, Ga., died Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A memorial service, with military honors, will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 30, 2016, at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Matt Marston officiating.

Born Jan. 3, 1938, in Brunswick, Ga., he was the son of the late Daniel Peter Ward and Frederica Owens Ward. Mr. Ward was a retired service manager with Destiny Industries and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha Ann Smith Ward of Moultrie, Ga.; four children, Danna Elaine Llewellyn and Tommy of Salisbury, N.C., Daniel Christopher Ward and Jan of Moultrie, Ga., Joseph Gregory Ward and Pam of Buford, Ga., Heather Ward Morgan and Paul of Moultrie, Ga.; 10 grandchildren, Tabitha Myers, Tiffany Barringer, Dax Llewellyn, Jessica Ensley, Nicky Ensley, Zack Ward, Cody Holcomb, Tori Holcomb, Ava Morgan and Gillie Morgan; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Ward of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Mickey Ward of Winter Haven, Fla.; a sister, Joy Cross of Americus, Ga.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2016, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
