AMERICUS — Charlie Will Baker Jr., 65, of Americus, died Saturday, March 11, 2017, at his home. He was born Aug. 15, 1951, in Sumter County to the late Charlie Will Baker Sr. and Ruby Lee Robert Baker. He was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Michael Manns of Americus; a son, Damion West of Albany; and two stepsons: James Angrish of Americus and Charles Bridges of Americus. Also surviving are three brothers and sisters-in-law: Alphonso and Esther Baker of Texas, Gwayne and Gwendolyn Baker of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Bobby and Gwen Baker of Americus; a sister, Lonnie Ruth Baker of Jupiter, Fla.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn Angrish Baker, and a sister, Annette Baker Wilson.
