AMERICUS — Linda Jean Thacker Tondee, 76, of Ellaville died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center in Americus. Born March 17, 1942, in Americus to the late Charles Thacker and Elizabeth Baker Ivey, she retired from Middle Flint Behavioral Healthcare as a program director.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, James Tondee of Ellaville; two sons and daughter-in-law: Kenneth and Lavonda Tondee of DeSoto and James T. (Terry) Tondee of Ellaville. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Vicki and Dan Beachum of Americus; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
