PLAINS — Robert Kenneth Ledbetter, 89, died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2018, at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains. A native of Atlanta, he was born Jan. 1, 1929, to the late Robert Ledbetter and Reva Carter Ledbetter. He was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and a United States Air Force veteran. An avid fisherman, he also loved to gamble, and was a people-person. He loved his family dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, at Calvary Episcopal Church.

Survivors include his son, Bob Ledbetter of Americus; and five grandchildren: Ben Ledbetter, Gatewood Ledbetter, Thomas Ledbetter, Tyler Ledbetter, and Stephen Ledbetter.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society.
