• Firefighters responded to a report of gas odor on U.S. Highway 19 South.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Furlow Charter School, 300 Cherokee St. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on West College Street which started in the attic. They returned several hours later to a rekindle of the fire.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Furlow Street.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at South Lee and Church streets.
• Firefighters responded to two traffic accidents on Crawford Street.
• Firefighters responded to Rawley Road where a tree had fallen across the roadway. It had been removed upon arrival.
• Firefighters responded to Magnolia Street and Park Row Extension to a report of a tree across the roadway. They removed the broken limbs.
• Firefighters responded to Dismuke Street to a report of a possible structure fire. They found a stove arcing.
• Firefighters responded to Poplar Street to an unknown medical problem, which turned out to be a false call.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a possible structure fire on East Jefferson Street where they found a small fire in the clothes dryer.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Hampton Street. There was no fire.

• Marco D. Cannon, 38, of 130 Lonnie Lane, Americus is charged with failure to yield after stopping at stop sign.
• Lila W. Chase of 2001 S. Lee St., Americus is charged with failure to stop at stop sign, too fast for conditions, driving while license is suspended or revoked and probation violation, and was jailed.
• Antonio M. Cook, 38, of 739 Mask Road, Americus is charged with failure to maintain lane and DUI.
• Kelsey Daniel of 321 W. Patterson St., Americus is charged with failure to obey traffic control devices and no license on person.
• Maurice Durham, 54, of 206 King St., Plains is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked (third offense), open container, no proof of insurance and DUI.
• Charles E. Fountain Jr., 23, of 226 Wanda Way, Americus is charged with assault-battery.
• Candace N. Fuller, 20, of 105 Knollwood Drive, No. 10, Americus is charged with terroristic threats and disorderly conduct, and was jailed.
• Dedravious Goober, 17, of 403 Rogers St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.
• Charles F. Halstead, 35, of 612 Reese Park, Americus is charged with discharging firearm in the city.
• Two juveniles were charged with affray and disorderly conduct on Academy Street.
• A juvenile was charged with simple battery (Domestic Violence Act) and unruliness on North Avenue.

• Jonathan Waters, 28, of 158 Lakeridge Drive, Americus is charged with loud music from vehicle and no proof of insurance.
• Geneva Williams of 215 Brookdale Drive, Americus is charged with failure to obey traffic control devices.
• David Woods, 43, of 408 Academy St., Americus is charged with second-degree criminal damage to property, and was jailed.
• Erick S. Wright, 21, of 307 B Varsity Drive, Americus is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
