Weather warning in effect 7 p.m. Wednesday-10 a.m. Thursday

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather warning for the northern and central parts of the state which include the Sumter County area from 7 p.m. today (Wednesday) until 10 a.m. Thursday.
The warning includes low temperatures of around 20 degrees F. tonight and dangerously low wind chills of about 10 degrees F. locally.
Winds will slowly decrease from 15 to 25 mph to less than 10 mph Thursday mid-morning.
These conditions can result in frost bite or hypothermia. If you must be outside, wear a hat and gloves for protection. And don’t forget to bring pets inside.
