Davis Chapel AME Church, located at 146 Felton Rd, Perry, Ga is hosting its first ever Health Fair on Saturday , February 28, 2015.

In observance of Heart Health month, and National Children’s Dental Health Month, the overall event is a community wide activity to educate local and surrounding communities in the area of high blood pressure, dental health, as well as, additional information concerning Diabetes and Men’s Prostate health. High blood pressure and blood glucose level checks will be provided by Houston Medical Center of Warner Robins, Ga.

A discussion on managing diabetes will be presented by Kim Sinclair, RN,

and dental screenings by Dr. Tomeiko Braswell, DDS.

Also, A 5k walk/run race will take place. T-shirts are available for$15.00.

Fun activities for children of all ages. Face painting,funny balloon sculpting, etc.

The “highlight” of this event, is Middle Georgia’s own, Darryl Holmes, former NFL player with the reigning Super Bowl champions, the New England Patriots. Mr. Holmes will provide a speech to local young male youths ages 6 and up, concerning education, sports and behavior. Kids will receive an autographed picture from Mr. Holmes.
