Kruzin for Kids to benefit kids of Sheriff’s Youth Homes

AMERICUS — The statewide 2015 Kruzin for Kids of Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes is Saturday, March 14. The event is in memory of Dr. Harold E. Holloway.
Participants have the choice of driving cars, trucks, street rods, motorcycles, etc. in one of two “kruzes.”
Kruze 1 starts at Pineland Youth Home, 1900 Young’s Mill Road in LaGrange. Registration starts at 7 a.m. in the gym and drivers depart at 8 a.m. and arrive at approximately 1 p.m. at Georgia Sheriffs’ Boys Ranch, 5671 Ga. Highway 122 East, in Hahira. The route goes through Columbus, Albany, Moultrie, Barney to Hahira.
Kruze 2 begins at the Georgia Peach Mall, Interstate 75 in Byron. Registration is at 7:30 a.m. and drivers leave at 8:30 a.m. to arrive around 1 p.m. at Georgia Sheriff’s Boys Ranch in Hahira. The route is on I-75 through Warner Robins, Perry, Unadilla, Cordele, Tifton, Adel to Hahira.
Cost is $25 per vehicle which includes lunch. There will be a brief ceremony in Hahira with live entertainment and prizes.
