Sumter Players dedicates production to Derrick Bryant

AMERICUS — The Sumter Players Inc. production of “To Kill a Mockingbird,” based on the novel by Harper Lee, has been dedicated to the late Derrick Bryant, South Georgia Technical College culinary arts instructor who was also president of the Sumter Players board.

The play continues its run at 8 p.m. today and Saturday, and at 2 p.m. Sunday. A special presentation to Derrick Bryant’s family will be held at tonight’s performance.
