Phoebe Sumter to host 7th Annual Men’s Health Conference Saturday

AMERICUS — Phoebe Sumter Medical Center is encouraging all local men to attend its 7th Annual Men’s Health Conference on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The event begins at 7:30 a.m. and will be held at the Student Success Center on the campus of Georgia Southwestern State University.
This year’s theme is “You’ve Got The Power: Your Power Tools for a Healthy Living,” which focuses on ways that men can take control of their own health through exercise, healthy eating and consulting with their respective physician just to name a few. September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, so there will be information on how to prevent prostate cancer as well.
Speakers include Dr. Malcolm Floyd (family practice), Dr. John Fennessy (orthopedics) and Dietitian Meg Goodin. A special appearance will be made by the Voice Masters of Atlanta.
There will be free tests, vendor booths and a number of other activities as well.
