Americus
Open Hands Ministry
The public is invited to Thanksgiving Dinner at noon Thursday, Thanksgiving Day, at the American Legion Post 2, U.S. Highway 19 North. For deliveries to shut-ins, call 924-7072 or 322-5281.

Big Bethel Baptist Church
The Women’s Ministry invites everyone to the annual Candlelight Worship Service at 6 p.m. Dec. 6. Speaker is Evangelist Yolanda Franklin.

Perry Grove Baptist Church
Perry Grove, New Zion and Friendship Baptist (DeSoto) churches combine for a community dinner at noon Nov. 24 for all area residents. The New Zion pastor delivers the message.

Ellaville
William Grove Baptist Church
The public is invited to the initial sermon of Brother Quinton Tyner at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 13.

Leslie
Freedom Harvest Worship Center
The first Women Night Out, “Women Taking Back What the Devil Stole,” is at 7 p.m. Nov. 27.
At 5 p.m. Nov. 28, a Youth Explosion, “Children Getting Radical for Christ,” features song, dance and drama.
At 3 p.m. Nov., 29, the Sons of Thunder Transformation is featured.
At 3 p.m. Dec. 7, the celebration of the church and pastor’s fifth anniversary features Pastor Donavon O. Coley and Forrest Park Baptist Church of Columbus.

Plains
Lebanon Baptist Church
The Senior Choir Ministry hosts a sunrise service at 6 a.m. Nov. 26, Thanksgiving Day. The Rev. Hosie Waters brings the sermon. Breakfast will be held afterwards. The community is invited.

Smithville
Mitchell Grove Baptist Church
The church anniversary is celebrated at 7 p.m. Dec. 3-4. On the Dec. 3, Pastor Jimmy Loud of Corinth Holy Bible, brings  the message, and on Dec. 4, Apostle Keith Lundy of New Beginning Church brings the sermon. Everyone is invited.

New Hope A.M.E Church
A fifth Sunday Spiritual Cake Walk is at 5 p.m. Nov. 29 with multiple speakers and churches on the program. Sister Carolyn Kimbrough brings the occasion and Deacon Rodney Banks is the emcee. Refreshments will be served.
