Thanks for supporting  Veterans Day Parade
The American Legion C.B. Dowdell Post 558 and it’s Auxiliary of Americus, Ga., would like to thank the Americus Community and surrounding counties for their support in making this year’s Veterans Day Parade a success. It was exciting and memorable. We thank those who sponsored us in various ways; finance, participation, and the communities for coming out to watch and support “OUR” Veterans service men and women representing all branches of service.
We extend a special thanks to The American Legion Post 2 and it’s Auxiliary and the 3rd District Commander and Vice Commander for their support and participation in helping make this event happen. Thanks to the City of Americus, the schools; Americus-Sumter, Schley Co., Southland Academy, Georgia Southwestern State University and Crisp Co., French Air Force, Mrs. Georgia U.S.A., and to all of the active and retired military personnel who participated in then parade. We wish to continue to make this an annual event with continued excitement and support to our fellows  service men and women at the same time uplifting the spirit of our community. All entries were greatly appreciated and we look forward to more entries next year.
