Sumter County Middle School held its Red Ribbon drawing contest. The theme this year was ‘Be Drug Free: Respect Yourself.’ There were over 20 entries submitted, and the winner chosen was eighth-grader Joshua Laines. Other activities during the week included students wearing jerseys and hats, as well as taking a drug free pledge and learning about drug awareness.
