Sumter students receive Piedmont College degrees

ATHENS — Four Sumter County students were among the 259 graduates receiving degrees from Piedmont College at the recent December commencement ceremonies.
Kenyatta Aldridge, Angela Brooks, Mohanlal Gugulothu and Uvonda Goines Mitchell, all of Americus, received education specialist degrees in curriculum and instruction.
Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of more than 2,250 students, with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50 major areas, master’s degrees in education and business, and doctoral degrees in education.
