Furlow Charter School to hold open house; now taking applications

AMERICUS — Furlow Charter School welcomes applications from students entering grades 5K-9 for the 2016-17 academic school year. The school is open to all children of Sumter County (based on availability), does not charge tuition and does not have special entrance requirements.
Applications for enrollment are available at the school or can be downloaded from the FCS website, www.furlowcharterschool.org. Applications are available in both English and Spanish and must be completed and turned in by 5 p.m. Feb. 14.
There will be an Open House at the school, located at 300 Cherokee St., from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 28. Interested scholars and their families are welcome to drop in to see the campus, get a tour, meet the staff, and learn more about the school’s innovative project-based learning methods.
