• Firefighters responded to 17 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Dudley Street which was triggered by people moving boxes and stirring up dust.
• Firefighters responded to Lilly Lane to a possible gas leak. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Crawley Street to a report of smoke coming from an outlet. All breakers were reset and none re-tripped.
• Firefighters presented a fire safety program at Furlow Charter School, 300 Cherokee St.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at North Lee and Prince streets.
• Firefighters responded to a call on West Jefferson Street but no incident was found.
• Firefighters responded to Horne Street to assist someone who had fallen in the bath.
• Firefighters responded to a call on North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard. No incident was found.
• Firefighters responded to Lonnie Lane to a report of a structure fire. They found contents of a commercial dryer on fire, which they extinguished. They moved dryer from the structure and ventilated the structure.
• Firefighters responded to Argo Street to a report of a wild land fire. They found a log on fire beside a driveway, which they extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to a structure fire on Hawkins Street,  which is under investigation by the City Fire Marshal.

• Robert L. Berry, 58, of 209 Tom Hall Circle, Americus is charged with simple assault, and was jailed.
• Jailonn T. Bridges, 17, of 120 Hosanna Circle, Americus is charged with headlight requirements and driving while unlicensed.
• Tyisha L. Brown, 39, of 723 Beale St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.

• Dontavious Jackson, 19, of 1334 Second Montgomery St., Americus is charged with cruelty to a person age 65 or older, aggravated assault (Domestic Violence Act), simple battery (DVA), and was jailed.

• Firefighters installed smoke alarms on Bumphead Road.
• Firefighters responded to New Era and Tom Summers roads to a report of power lines down and found that a tractor had pulled down power lines and broken off a power pole.
