• Firefighters responded to 27 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at North Jackson and West Forsyth Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Daniel Street. They found food overcooked in the microwave oven.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a strong gas odor on Valley Drive. Upon arrival, the occupant said she was unaware that her car was running in the basement. They ventilated the structure.
• Firefighters responded to Ashby Street to what turned out to be a false call.
• Firefighters responded to East Furlow Street to a report of a possible structure fire. They found a small grass and pine straw fire, which they extinguished.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Upon arrival they found that fire drills were being conducted.

• Alice M. Boone, 49, of 101 Linnie St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct.
• Sha’neique Brooks, 22, of 78-B W. Buena Road, Ellaville is charged with disorderly conduct.
• Jale’nique T. Chapman, 19, of 259 Lonnie Lane, Americus is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana.
• Brandon L. Goforth, 19, of 385 Hawkins Road, Americus is charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana, seta belt violation and expired tag/registration.
• John E. Harvey, 49, of 401 Ashby St., Americus is charged with disorderly conduct, and was jailed.

• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Parker’s Crossing and U.S. Highway 280 East.
• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Hooks Mill Road.
• Firefighters responded to a grass fire at U.S. Highway 280 East and Pecan Road.
• Firefighters responded to a grass fire at Tim Tucker Road and U.S. Highway 280 East.
• Firefighters responded to Culpepper Drive to put out some “hot spots” from a previous structure fire.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at U.S. Highway 280 East and Cook Drive.
