• Firefighters responded to 27 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a power line down on Park Row. It was a cable line.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at West Lamar and North Hampton streets.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a fire on Industrial Boulevard. Nothing was found.
• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on East Forsyth Street, which they extinguished.
ª Firefighters responded to Harrold Avenue where they assisted an elderly person.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Mayo Street where they learned that workers cutting a masonry wall had inadvertently triggered it.
• Firefighters responded to Eastview Circle and Walker Street to a report of power lines down. They found phone lines, which they removed from the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to Leila Way and Lawson Drive where they removed a large tree from the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to Poplar Street where they removed a large tree limb that had fallen into the roadway.
• Firefighters responded to a smoke detector on Varsity Drive, which was caused by cooking.
• Firefighters responded to Thomas Drive and East Lamar Street to a traffic accident.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on Lonnie Lane.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Taylor Street, which was set off accidentally when the resident as changing batteries.
• Firefighters responded to a malicious false call on Felder Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on West Forsyth Street. They found a faulty/dirty alarm but no fire.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident North Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and West Lester Street.
• Firefighters responded to a fire at the Boys & Girls Club, 103 Hosanna Circle, which is still under investigation.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Pine Avenue and Academy Street.
• Firefighters responded to Cotton Avenue and West Forsyth Street to a report of a wire down. Nothing was found.

• Shakeem O. Butler, 49, of 1701 Maxwell St., Americus is charged with criminal trespass, and was jailed.
• Quenton Carter, 20, of 1701 Maxwell St., Americus is charged with battery and misdemeanor simple battery against a person age 65 or older, or is pregnant at the time of the offense, and was jailed. s
• Quincy B. Daniels, 22, of 622 Winn St., Americus is charged with criminal trespass and cruelty to children (Family Violence Act), and was jailed.
• Mackenzie A. Johnson, 21, of 109 Columbia Ave., Americus is charged with open container.
• A juvenile was charged with unruliness on East Jefferson Street.
• Oscar L. Lester Jr., 26, of 894 Young’s Mill Road, Plains is charged with stalking, criminal trespass, receipt/possession or transfer of firearm by convicted felon or felony first offender, possession of firearm or knife during commission or attempt to commit certain felonies and criminal attempt and was jailed.
• Eston K. Mitchell, 21, of 106 Garden Lane, Americus is charged with aggravated assault, possession of firearm or knife during commission of or attempt to commit certain felonies, and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and was jailed.
• Keyla J. Torres, 32, of 130-A Fairway Two, Americus is charged with failure to stop at stop sign and driving while unlicensed, and was jailed.
• Jacob D. Sanders, 23, of 403 Sharon Drive, Americus is charged with misdemeanor simple battery against a person age 65 or older or is pregnant at the time of the offense, and was released on bond.
• Pamela S. Smith, 42, of 143 W. Patterson St., Americus is charged with failure to maintain lane, DUI and driving while license is suspended or revoked.
• Carson R. Speir, 21, of 101-G Country Club Drive, Americus is charged with DUI, and was released to the Americus Police Department.
• Samantha J. Warrat, 36, of 594 Coogle Road, Andersonville is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked.

• William E. Gaines, 63, of 105-D Eastview Apartments, Americus is charged with driving while license is suspended or revoked and DUI, and was jailed.
• Walter J. Hawkins, 54, of 2213 U.S. Highway 280 East, Americus is charged with DUI, speeding and expired or no registration or title, and was released on bond.
• Jock Hunter, 56, of Panama City Beach, Fla., is charged with DUI, and was jailed.

• Jashun Howard, 19, of East Point is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.
