Sumter DFCS board recognized with state award

The Sumter County Department of Family and Children Services Board was nominated and chosen as the County Board of the Year for the Georgia Association of Department of Family and Children Services Board for 2016. They received the award at the annual meeting last week in Savannah for their advocacy for staff and Sumter County residents, resource development in the community, political activism, customer service and administrative function.
