AMERICUS — A Candidates’ Forum is planned for 6:30 p.m. Oct. 6 at the City of Americus Public Safety Building, 119 S. Lee St. The date of the Forum has been set to precede the voter registration deadline and early voting for the November Election.
Invited participants include candidates for the Georgia State Senate, Georgia State House of Representatives, Sumter County Board of Commissioners, and Sumter County Coroner whose names will appear on the Nov. 8 ballot.
The Forum is sponsored by the Omicron Alpha Zeta Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. and the pastors and lay leaders of Sumter County.
